This picture was taken of Lily after she was running around our house! Doesn't she have a great smile?
Fall is my absolute favorite season because it’s not too hot, and it’s
not too cold. I also love seeing
the beautiful foliage. This is
when the leaves change color. It
is like looking at a rainbow of leaves every day!
It was early October and I had just gotten home from teaching my fabulous first
graders. I had a really great day
with my students. I decided to go
outside with my dogs, Toby and Lily, for a walk in our neighborhood.
I got Toby’s leash on first. You have to really be fast with that little guy – he runs away. Lily is a better listener.
She will sit and wait nicely.
Sometimes we don’t even use a leash with Lily because she is such a good
listener. I finally managed to get
both leashes on the puppies and we were on our way! What a great day for a walk.
Suddenly, the wind began to blow. The
leaves started to swirl through the air.
It almost looked like a tornado.
Brr. Maybe it wasn’t as warm as I thought it was. A jacket would have been a good idea. As I was thinking about going home and getting a jacket for the rest of the walk, the wind began to push the leaves forward. Lily was amazed. After all,
it was her very first Fall! Lily
began to chase the leaves. First
to the right, then to the left. It
was like a cat chasing a mouse!
Too bad I didn’t have my camera with me. Mr. Scelia would laugh if he saw
it.
SometimesI wonder who gets into more trouble, Toby or Lily.
What do you think?
